Meeting of the Blue Action Democrats, Southwest Austin chapter

Time: 2:00 – 4:00 PM
Location: Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church, Children’s Bldg., 5226 W. William Cannon Drive
Agenda:
–  Presentation by State Representative Donna Howard, whose district includes a part of southwest Austin
–  Training sessions on how to use (1) Minivan and (2) Reach Progressive, two phone apps that we use for block-walking

    • One of Texas’s two U.S. Senate seats
    • Our Congressional Representative
    • All statewide Constitutional officers (from governor on down)
    • A few officials on state bodies that are elected regionally (e.g., State Board of Education, judgeships)
    • State Senator and State Representative (Texas Legislature)
    • County Judge
    • Other miscellaneous offices

     Early Voting:  Tuesday, February 17 – Friday, February 27

—  Oak Hill Community Center at 8656 State Hwy 71 (uphill from the fire station that is at the intersection of 71 and Covered Bridge)
—  Austin Oaks Church at 4220 Monterey Oaks Blvd. (down the street from Small Middle School

     Election Day: Tuesday, March 3
